Thieffry Metro Station
Renovation of the Thieffry Metro Station
An inclusive environment includes public spaces that are accessible to everyone and this requires concrete actions, such as adapting transport infrastructure.
At Thieffry metro station, renovation work is essential to improve accessibility for people with reduced mobility and visual impairments.
The existing access will be renovated to comply with PRM (Persons with Reduced Mobility) standards:
- Installation of three new elevators connecting the street level to the mezzanine and the mezzanine to both platforms.
- Adaptation of the platforms near the elevators and staircases to facilitate access.
- Creation of new technical rooms to accommodate the necessary equipment for these infrastructures.
Another key aspect of this renovation concerns the emergency exit, located on the opposite side of the station:
- Construction of an emergency exit with a hatch at street level, allowing the integration of new stairs leading to the parking of the shopping centre.
These improvements aim to ensure a more accessible and safer transport network for all.
