New administrative building designed to accommodate 700 Workstations
The BalliniPitt, Arep Group, TPF Engineering, and IDES consortium has won the CFL tender for the construction of a 15,300 m² administrative building, designed to house 700 workstations. This project combines industrial identity and sustainability, adopting a fossil-free approach and setting ambitious environmental objectives.
Located on the former site of the Centre de Remisage et de Maintenance (Storage and Maintenance Centre), the new building will address the growing needs of the Luxembourg National Railway Company (CFL).
It will house several key departments, including:
- Infrastructure Maintenance Service (MI)
- Bus Service (BU)
- Train and Rolling Stock Service (TM)
The design prioritizes both efficiency and employee well-being, with features such as:
- Preservation of the site's industrial identity
- A calm environment to foster collaboration
- A central hall serving as a hub for meetings and exchanges
- Architecture and engineering focused on sustainability
- Fossil-free design
- Geothermal energy solutions offering high energy efficiency
- High energy performance to reduce environmental impact
The project aims for BREEAM and WELL certifications, underscoring its commitment to both environmental responsibility and employee health.
