Transformation of the former Eastman building into the House of European History

This new documentation and exhibition center featuring a gross floor area of 11,605 m² aims to encourage citizens to reflect upon and debate about the history of Europe and of European integration.

The project involved:

  • renovating the existing U-shaped building in terms of structural work, finishings and technical building services,
  • building a new extension on the courtyard area (inside the U),
  • adding three storeys made of glass to the existing building.
