It was in November 2012 that the first underground car park since 1989 was opened in Romania under the University square in Bucharest.
This new car park, located on the busiest road artery of the city centre has a capacity of 429 spaces over three levels. Financing of project, a sum of 10 million euros, was done through a public-private partnership. TPF Romania actively contributed to its success by carrying out the design optimization study as well as the technical expertise at the end of the construction work. This success so impressed the private company Interparking that they have given us a new challenge: that of renovating the car park of the Hotel Intercontinental. Built in 1967, this car park provides 2,000 spaces over 2 levels.
