Synergia carries out primary researches in Canaã dos Carajás to investigate crime rates, the price of basic food items, rent, and urban and rural properties.
Additionally, it collects secondary data on the level of employment and income, the inclusion of people in the social security system, the economic conditions and local public finances, the situation of the basic infrastructure and the comfort, social vulnerability and health condition of the population under the economic monitoring of the S11D enterprise. The researches enable the development of historical analyses and comparative evaluations with other places and are complemented by a data bank with 37 indicators.
Besides collecting data on the prices of each basic food item, Synergia calculates the estimated price of the whole package.
The collection of data is carried out once a month and the price of basic food is calculated based on DDIEESE’s methodology, which provides appropriate means to monitor the price of food in Canaã dos Carajás. As for the real estate market, the data collected resulted in estimates of the prices for renting and buying properties, which helped to perform an integrated analysis of the different aspects involved in the evolution of the city’s real estate market.
The information generated makes it possible to monitor the socio-economic dynamics of the municipal district that will house the biggest iron ore mine in the world.
