PAYMACOTAS - Technical assistance services and health and safety coordination for Marina Far construction works at Vilanova i la Geltrú Port (Barcelona)

The New Marina Project at Vilanova i la Geltrú Port (Barcelona) comprises the construction of several docks for yachts between 35 and 80 m. The expansion of Varador will allow providing maintenance services to these ships as well as to fishing boats and small vessels.

The works feature the following technical characteristics:

  • Total area: 71,200 m²
  • Backfill: 200,000 m³ / Dredged materials: 120,000 m³
  • Linear meters of dock: 1,165 lm
  • Steel piles: 120 units / Vibro-compaction: 6,200 units
  • 5,000 m² of buildings

Technical assistance services involved:

  • Supervise the fixing of sheet piles. Stage 1: vertical positioning and subsequent movements
  • Supervise concrete pouring at the capping beam and superstructures. Stage 1
  • Supervise the execution and audit of urban and building projects. Stage 1
  • Supervise the execution and consolidation of the backfill. Stage 2: pre-load, vibro-compaction, settlement of the backfill and monitoring of sounding and piezometers
  • Supervise concrete pouring at the capping beam and travel-lift pools. Stage 2
  • Supervise the execution of port pavement sub-bases and steel fiber pavement
  • Health and safety coordination at the construction works
