PAYMACOTAS - Consulting and assistance services for the project management of the new Central University Hospital in Asturias

GISPASA (the Healthcare Infrastructure Management Authority in Asturias) has as its main objective the construction of the new Asturias Central University Hospital. It will be located in “La Cadellada” house, in the northeast of Oviedo, close to the future Healthcare Science University Campus. The facilities area will be divided into 180,000 m² for the hospital and 62,000 m² for the parking lots. The works were tendered for a total value of € 266,811,122 and awarded to the joint venture composed of Sacyr – San José – Sánchez y Lago for € 205,364,513.

The Asturias Central University Hospital, with a construction budget of 286 million euro, has a total area of 300,000 m² and hosts 570 rooms with 1,039 beds, 38 operating rooms and 350 examination rooms. The project takes into account the possibility to construct a new building exclusively for the treatment of silicosis.
